Label This exquisitely detailed figure was modelled by James Hadley in 1867 inspired by the Japanese Art that was exhibited at the Paris Exhibition that year. This figure and her partner were later exhibited at many international exhibitions including Vienna in 1873.
Description Figure of a Japanese Lady standing next to a small pedestal with a vase on it. She holds a fan in her right hand and a letter in her left. Decorated in metallic colours and gold. Pair to 3931.
Provenance Donated by the Friends of the museum in 1972.
