Label In the 18th century figures were used as dinner table decorations or were displayed above the fireplace. Although porcelain figures were very popular very few were made at Worcester and this model of two canaries is exceptionally rare. Only 3 other examples are recorded.
Description A pair of canaries sitting on branches with small apple blossom flowers and leaves. Rococo scrolled base. Decorated in yellow, pink and green enamel with gold on base. A branch at the back forms a handle.
