Label These rare vases were painted with scenes from the story of Helen of Troy by Jeffrey's Hamett O'Neale in 1769. The artist probably worked on a freelance basis and therefore was permitted to sign his work. His signature can be seen in the foreground.
Description pair of large baluster vases with flared necks, decorated with an underglaze blue ground and heart shaped panels framed with elaborate Rococo gilding.
